E.C. McMULLEN JR., IS READY TO LAUNCH IN TEXAS
E.C. McMullen Jr., coming fom his time in the Navy as a Broadcast J.O., and without any contacts, infrastructure, network, or safety net, became an independent movie maker in the heart of the world's most competitive filmmaking market, Los Angeles.
In less than 9 months, E.C. McMullen Jr. sold two scripts and worked as Special Effects Make-Up department head on his first feature film (Primitive Recall). In only 5 years he amassed over 30 movie and television credits working with actors like Doug Jones, John Savage, D.B. Sweeney, and Colin Cunningham.
E.C. McMullen Jr.'s strongest resume is his blog/website, Feo Amante's Horror Thriller (horrorthriller.com) with original content featuring news, reviews, and interviews with movie franchise creators like James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring), Leigh Whannell (Saw, Upgrade, The Invisible Man [2020]), and Guillermo del Toro (Blade II, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, The Shape of Water).
By 2012 he began appearing in International Best of Lists (Year's Best Fantasy and Horror Vol. 16, Vol. 17), and in filmmaking guidebooks alongside Wes Craven, John Carpenter, and George Romero (Horror 201: The Silver Scream), as well as Literature and Motion Picture history books (Supernatural Fiction Writers, Vol. 2, Phantasm: Exhumed).
That same year, family tragedy called E.C. McMullen Jr. back home to Texas to help raise his fatherless Niece and Nephew. During this period he was published in magazines and anthologies and collected many of his previously published fiction works into two volumes: The critically acclaimed Perpetual Bullet, and Willow Blue and Other Stories. 2023 saw the release of his first novel, RUMOR.
Now in 2025, the children are grown adults, and E.C. McMullen Jr. is refocusing his movie making ambitions at home in Texas.
